I don't play Vampire Counts for Warhammer, but I really love some of the new models that came out. Of the pieces I picked up, I got a box of Crypt Ghouls, just cause.. well.. they look awesome and fun to paint!
I usually use models that aren't in my army to test new things, and these guys are great for experimental skintones. The purplish one is a mix of inkwashing and blending, and the green is all blending.
Stuck the quarter in there for people who don't have an idea how SMALL these things are.

The problem with NMM is that if you don't do them absolutely right they look terrible.
And they are too much work for an army meant for playing anyway. I know there are some who would disagree, but I am not the fastest painter anyway, and with the added load of minis I have to pay for the store I barely get any of my own minis painted anyway.

THEN YOU SHOULD PROBOBLY DO THEM RIGHT THE FIRST TIME >:X
ENUFF BITCHIN
GET TO PAINTIN JAX *Whipcrack*
I do halvsies but it looks okay. Usually the swords are too mired in gore to see any of my NMMs anyways.
HURPA DURP
someone at my store did Friggin Iron warriors in NMMs(Hes a GD 3x winner though so lawl) and its just like I want to pick up his minis and EAT THEM because they are so good. He brings in his GDD entries all the time(Cause he enters like 1x day lawl) and its like WOAH TEACH ME YOUR WAYS
but his ways are less sketch-painting, which is what I like to do. FUCK THAT NOISE ALL TO PIECES.

I've only played Undead a few times; I felt kind of cheap after a while, to tell the truth. But, I've found that its usually better to sent the dire wolves out along the flank behind terrain, working their way forward as quick as they can without getting shot to all hell.
They have THE biggest move rate out of any starting unit, and I use that as aggressively as I can. 18" charge move? Yes plz.
The vampire is more a SURPRISE! shock trooper, jumping in when a model is already engaged or can't really do anything at that point. Makes a pretty good mobile sniper early on, as well; just wish he could get duelling pistols or something fancy...
