So far I hate it.

Okay, this anime is great and it’s a classic, I get that. So my unpopular opinion that I will never re-watch this might be a bit confusing and aggravating. I watch and read anything for the characters and their development. Inuyasha’s tsundere attitude might be cute SOMETIMES but, he agitates me. He unnerves me to the point that I can’t even hear this shows title without getting upset. Kagome May have her problems, but she isn’t a dead piece of dirt and bone walking around and stealing other people’s souls. The fact that Inuyasha refused to admit his feelings for Kagome and hurting her while simultaneously running after a dead woman out of guilt, annoyed me to such an extreme level. *SPOILERS*

The fact that he ended up kissing dirt (AKA Kikyo) before he kissed the protagonist of the story also made me angry.

Will I watch cute clips of Kagome and Inuyasha bantering and flirting back and forth? Yes. Will I ever rewatch the series? No. Not unless I want to get a heart attack from all of the unnecessary stress and anger I get when I watch it.

All of the characters are annoying. I watched this because, at first, I liked the male lead. As the story goes on he becomes more and more unlikable. It’s a miracle that I didn’t rate this lower.

For a person like me who despises the story of Romeo and Juliet, I actually don’t hate this. In fact, it’s actually pretty good. Of course, they had to change quite a bit beforehand.

The reason that the ending of this show is ranked so low is because unlike the people who watched this as a child, I binged watched it at age 17 or so. Now, I’m not saying the show itself was horrible, my experience with it though, was. I spent the entirety of the main show angry at Inuyasha’s decisions and temperament that when I finally watched this part of the series, I was so angry and just didn’t want to see his face anymore. I realize now that this series was not meant to be binged the way that I did, an episode a day should’ve been enough with this series.
